An Overview

Our Mission

Developing the next generation

Whether you are considering Yeshivat Lev Aharon as a prospective student or parent, or simply browsing the web, you will discover what makes Lev Aharon an amazing place to learn and grow. Lev Aharon continues its mission of developing young men into mature adults ready to integrate Torah life with the modern world.

Lev Aharon is proud to provide a comfortable and uplifting environment that supports both physical well-being and spiritual growth. Our two spacious dormitories, nutritious and delicious meals, modern gym facilities, and well-equipped game room are all designed to enhance the students’ overall experience. Beyond the campus, our inspiring trips and outings create opportunities for meaningful bonding, fostering achdut (unity) and strengthening the warm and vibrant ruach that defines Yeshivat Lev Aharon.

After years spent educating American teenagers in Israel, Rabbi Laniado recognized a gaping void in the system. So many teenagers felt that they did not have a place in the regular Yeshivot and more of them began forfeiting their chance to grow in Israel by choosing to stay at home. Rabbi Laniado decided to make them an offer that they could not refuse by establishing a yeshiva that would put a strong emphasis on making the boys feel happy, loved, and deeply cared for. When students realize that the yeshiva is there for them and caters to all their needs, they will blossom and grow.

Our Program

An environment of growth

Lev Aharon is designed for mature and motivated young men seeking meaningful spiritual growth while experiencing the beauty and depth of Eretz Yisrael. Our engaging classes cover a wide range of Torah topics and are offered at various levels, creating an atmosphere that is both intellectually stimulating and inspiring. We place a strong emphasis on personal development, and each student receives individualized guidance from our warm and approachable staff. Throughout the year, we embark on exciting trips and Shabbatons across the country, deepening our connection to the land, to each other, and to Hashem.

Torah Study

Torah Study – Learning with a Personal Touch

At Lev Aharon, Torah learning is not just about acquiring knowledge — it’s about personal growth and lifelong connection. Our goal is to equip each talmid with the analytical tools and textual skills to continue learning independently long after his time in yeshiva. Just as important, we guide our students through a journey of self-discovery and introspection, helping them grow into well-rounded, emotionally healthy members of the community. True success, in our eyes, is when a student returns home with a clear sense of identity, a deeper understanding of himself, and an unshakable appreciation for the central role Torah plays in a meaningful Jewish life.

The Learning

Learning Like Never Before

At Yeshivat Lev Aharon, Torah study is a transformative experience. With an average class size of just seven students, each talmid receives individualized guidance and meaningful interaction with our dedicated rabbanim.

Our shiurim are designed to challenge the mind and inspire the soul. Students are encouraged to think more deeply, ask questions, and get involved in the learning. The curriculum includes a diverse range of subjects, such as Gemara B’Iyun, Halacha, Machshava, Rambam’s 13 Principles of Faith, Chumash, and Prayer — all taught in an environment that fosters curiosity, clarity, and connection to Torah. We also provide a personal Rebbe to help with basic reading and comprehension skills.

The Heart of the Yeshiva

The Bet Medrash

The Bet Medrash is the center of life at Yeshivat Lev Aharon. Throughout the day and night, it’s filled with the energy of shiurim, learning groups, and chavrutot deeply engaged in Torah. Every student spends meaningful time learning with a chavruta, building not only knowledge and skills, but also a personal connection to Torah. Our library features an extensive collection of sefarim, in both Hebrew and English, providing students with the tools they need to grow in their learning.

Celebrating Growth Through Torah

Siyumim

At Yeshivat Lev Aharon, we make it a point to celebrate every step of growth. Together with their rabbanim, our students mark their accomplishments with meaningful and joyous Siyumim throughout the year. Each semester concludes with a grand Siyum celebration, highlighting the Torah learned, the progress made, and the strong bonds formed along the way.

Inspiring Nights of Torah and Connection

Mishmar & Guest Speakers

Thursday night Mishmar is a weekly highlight at Yeshivat Lev Aharon. With delicious food and engaging shiurim on a variety of meaningful topics, the atmosphere is uplifting and full of energy. Many Thursday nights feature impactful and captivating talks from this diverse lineup, including our very own beloved rebbeim, creating a powerful experience of learning and connection that extends far beyond the classroom.

Throughout the year, the yeshiva is honored to host renowned guest speakers — rabbanim, educators, and community leaders — who inspire our talmidim with their wisdom and life experience.

Exploring the Land, Strengthening the Soul

Trips

Over the course of the year, Yeshivat Lev Aharon takes students on four unforgettable multi-day trips across Eretz Yisrael. These journeys offer an incredible opportunity to explore the beauty and diversity of the Holy Land, while experiencing Israeli life and culture firsthand. As well as of course we have the chance to visit kever Rashb”i, the Arizal and Kever Rachel and many more auspicious places here in Eretz Yisrael to pray for our loved ones.

From rappelling and mountain climbing to water hikes, kayaking, and ATV adventures, every trip is packed with excitement and growth. More than just fun, these experiences deepen our students’ connection to the land, to one another, and to the unique privilege of spending a year in Israel. We also have multiple trips to the Gedolei Yisrael to receive their berachot and guidance.

Celebrating Together as One Family

Yeshiva Events

In Lev Aharon, every Jewish holiday and special occasion is an opportunity to come together in joy and unity. We celebrate with uplifting events filled with live music, delicious food, heartfelt dancing, and inspiring Divrei Torah.

Whether it’s Rosh Hodesh, Purim, Chanukah, or a meaningful yeshiva milestone, these gatherings create unforgettable memories and strengthen the bond between our students and rabbanim — forming a true sense of family that lasts well beyond the year in Israel.

Balance of Body and Mind

Gym & Game Room

At Yeshivat Lev Aharon, we recognize the importance of maintaining both physical and mental well-being. Our fully equipped gym provides students with a healthy outlet to stay active, energized, and in shape throughout the year.

For downtime and relaxation, our state-of-the-art Game Room features two full-size billiards tables, a ping pong table, and five large screens for PlayStation and Xbox gaming — all set up with comfortable couches and a fun, social atmosphere. It’s the perfect space to unwind and recharge in between learning.

To top it all off, our canteen runs at night, giving the boys a chance to enjoy some great food and chill time. From chicken poppers, burgers, and grilled chicken wraps to cold beverages and tasty snacks — there’s always something to look forward to after a full day in yeshiva.

Strength, Spirit, and Sportsmanship

Sports

Athletics at Yeshivat Lev Aharon offer a meaningful outlet for students to stay active, build teamwork, and recharge both body and mind. As proud members of the AFI Football League, the IBL Basketball League as well as the Softball League, our teams compete with passion and integrity, making a true Kiddush Hashem on the field and court.

Whether it’s a competitive game or just a friendly scrimmage at our indoor gym that we rent out for the boys, sports are a valued part of yeshiva life — promoting achdut, discipline, and healthy living.

Staying Connected, Growing Together

Yeshiva-Break Programming

Even during the Pesach and summer breaks — the Lev Aharon experience continues. Under the leadership of Rabbi Yishai Rabi, along with Rabbi Avraham Malka, Rabbi Nissim Salem, and Rabbi Sinai Yakobian, a dedicated team of rabbis fly from Israel — without their families — to spend extended time with our students in America, continuing their growth beyond the walls of the yeshiva.

Each student is personally paired with a rabbi under the guidance of Rabbi Yishai Rabi and the Lev Aharon staff. Together, they learn, share meals, and even enjoy outings — building relationships that inspire and last. Approximately 50 boys from Brooklyn and Deal participate in this uplifting program.

Yeshivat Lev Aharon is proud to host meaningful and monumental events during the Pesach and summer breaks, and we express heartfelt gratitude to Hashem and sincere appreciation to all those who help make these experiences so impactful and successful.

Staying Connected All Year

Brooklyn Learning Program

This incredible program is solely run by our very esteemed Rabbi Ike Sutton and operates every month of the year. It is designed especially for boys who return home after one or two years in Lev Aharon and want to continue their spiritual growth while working, remaining an active part of the Lev family.

Rabbi Ike gives his all — organizing shiurim, hosting tefillot on Shabbat, and arranging BBQs and outings that bring the boys together. With his dynamic personality, boundless warmth, and constant availability, he is always there for the boys, guiding and supporting them long after their time in Israel.

Throughout the Pesach and summer breaks, Rabbi Ike coordinates with the rabbanim who fly in from Israel, ensuring there are inspiring classes, uplifting tefillot, and fun trips that keep the Lev spirit alive. His tireless efforts and true mesirut nefesh are deeply valued and constantly appreciated.
